Yards by Steve is owned and operated by Steve Klein of Morden, Manitoba, Canada.  The landscape company "Yards by Steve was born in 2002.  Steve, however, has been landscaping for much longer than that!  His father Gordon, was one of Morden's first landscapers. 

Gordon is retired now, but he spent 30 years at the Morden Research station where he was Supervisor of the grounds. 

It was here he developed a wealth of knowledge and a passion for plants!  This transformed into a successful part time business that Gordon still dabbles in, in his "retirement!"  This knowledge and passion was definitely passed on to Steve, starting at a very young age.  He has been on the
business end of a shovel since he was at least ten years old!  With the wealth of experience and knowledge he gained from his father,
